Peter East is a longtime member and officer with both Democratic Women of the Desert and Desert Stonewall Democrats. He serves as Treasurer for both clubs, PFLAG Palm Springs/Desert Communities (now disbanded), and several candidates for local office. Peter retired to the Coachella Valley in 2005 after a 35-year career in pharmaceutical industry R&D.
A native of the United Kingdom, Peter became a US citizen in 1996. He lives with his partner in Palm Springs.
