Mike is a California native, living in the desert full-time since 2003 upon his retirement as Deputy Fire Chief, Los Angeles County Fire Department. He graduated from Humboldt State with a BS in Forest Management, and Pepperdine University with a MA in Education. He is an Air Force Veteran. During his years in the desert, Mike served 12 years as a State Assembly Delegate to the California Democratic Party.
