Biography

Hello my name is Blanca Torres Hall, I am a lifelong resident of the Coachella Valley and I spent my career educating our students, protecting our children and advocating for social Justice. I am a mother of three sons and a grandmother to a beautiful 4-year-old little girl. I received my bachelors in liberal studies and psychology from Cal. State University, San Bernardino in 1991 and my masters of social work in 2000. I have a credential in adult Education and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I taught ESL at Coachella Valley Adult School for 14 years and Independent Studies for years.  I was a Children Social Service Supervisor with Riverside County Department of Public Social Service for over 22 years.  In November 2014 I was elected to the Coachella Valley Unified School Board, as a trustee in area 1 where I served for 8 years.  It will be an honor and privilege to serve as a board member for the Democratic Women of the Desert.
