Anyse Smith has lived in the desert since 2013 when she became a resident at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. Ms. Smith graduated from the California Desert Trial Academy in Spring 2020. As a law student, she clerked for Criminal Defense Attorney John Patrick Dolan. In May 2021, she was sworn in as an Attorney by Judge John Evans. Ms. Smith currently works at the Coachella Valley Association of Governments in the homelessness department. She also serves as a Board Member for the Other Bar, a Board Member of Indio Mount Zion Church, and as a New Life Program Mentor for the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission.
